My strongest part of the visual is the different colors because they are unique .
I think the symmetry could be a little better, it could be improved by using different ones on my kaleidoscope.
I used the rectangular marquee tool, lasso tool, crop tool, and horizontal tool.
I used these tools to crop pictures, add different colors, and different shapes.
The hardest thing about my beautiful art was making the different colors.
On a scale of 1-10 i think i did a 7.5 because i could of did a little better.
The type of visual I see is a kaleidoscope. Based on the images I can tell it is a biaxial symmetry, if I try to cut it in half vertical and horizontal it would look the same and would look like a mirror image. The three different images almost look the same as well as the structure. The kaleidoscope started with an image of a student, Leonardo and ended with a lot of different filters. It seems to me that Alex used the filter gallery and made the images smaller to make it seem like there is a lot of images when he made 1 image look like 1000. The strongest artwork Alex has is the 1st one in the image below. The symmetry in the art work is amazing. The image that can be improved is the 3rd one below. The middle section needs to be worked on more. The reasoning is because it’s like bulls eye and it is the first thing that comes to my eyes. On the other hand the 3 images look very busy, there are different designs and it looks like it took a lot of effort to get those filters to get like that. The composition looks neat and organized. Also the creativity that Alex had for the images went really great
ReplyDeleteI am doing my critique on: “alexresendepires.blogspot.com”. He made 3 kaleidoscopes. In the first kaleidoscope he used biaxial symmetry to create his image. He flips it horizontally, and it seems like it is pretty symmetrical to make it look like the back of a red playing card. I would say the purple colored one is the strongest because I feel like it has more detail to it, like there is more going on in the visual everywhere. In the first piece, I think that probably that it could have a bit more going on in the visual, to have it more eye catching. He could use other shapes like triangles or rectangles to make the image more interesting. In the gray picture, it look kind of like a quilt. In this image he also used biaxial symmetry, which I think it kind of boring to use the same type again. Maybe adding a few other shapes would make it look a bit better. And in the purple looking image, it looks like he used near symmetry. He has a few variations that doesn’t make it exactly symmetrical, but it’s not that noticeable. I like the different ways he played with this image with the filter he used to make it kind of purple. I also liked his skill of turning a regular looking picture into an image that looks so different from what he started with. That is my classmate critique.
